You won’t want to miss a talented array of speakers, covering all aspects of student media. Tour Lory, and enjoy the $50 million renovation, including all-new food courts. Check out Rocky Mountain Student Media, back after the construction. No wonder our theme this year is “Feels like home.”
And don’t forget to pick up your All-Colorado certificates and Best of Show awards at the big closing ceremony!
It all happens Thursday, Oct. 9. Many details will be announced in early September, but the planning needs to start right away. Here is the PDF registration form, which must be in by Oct. 1 (we will take it much sooner!). Only use Adobe Acrobat or Reader to open and complete our PDF forms, not Apple Preview or Chrome’s PDF Viewer.
Best of Show instructions can be found here. The entry “window” is Oct. 1 through 9:59 p.m. MDT, Sunday, Oct. 5. This allows a day for our judges to make determinations and then another day for preparation of awards, etc.
Featured speakers include the current JEA National Yearbook Adviser of the Year, Brenda Gorsuch, from North Carolina, and the 2013 YAOY, Cindy Todd, from Austin, Texas, along with Scott Winter, now at Bethel College in the Twin Cities. Pick from a broad array of learning sessions, ranging from online and broadcast to all forms of print media.
You won’t find a better day of learning experiences, and the registration of $20 per student can’t be beat. Be sure your medium’s CHSPA membership is current to enjoy this $20 price.
We hope you can join us in Fort Collins on Oct. 9.
