CSMA is partnering with School Newspapers Online to bring a one-day hands-on workshop designed to make your SNO website more effective, more efficient, and more professional. Jason Wallestad, one of SNO’s founders, will be leading the workshop.
This one-time opportunity is Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018. Registration is online here, and payment made be made by credit card when registering, or you may request an invoice.
The site of the workshop is Castle View HS, which is quite accessible and lies about 15 miles south of Denver. This is a Saturday workshop and will run from 9:30 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. (yes, it will be a busy day!). There will be a break for lunch (bring your own or check out the nearby outlet mall, which has numerous food options).
The basic cost is $150 PER SCHOOL, and each school may have 1-3 participants (including the adviser, though advisers are not required to attend). Membership in the Colorado Student Media Association is NOT required to participate in these workshops (though, of course, it is highly encouraged).
The workshop series is aimed to serve SNO customers (Disclaimer: the CSMA website is sponsored by SNO). But if you are simply considering contracting with SNO to help with your website, this is an efficient and inexpensive way to explore the service to see if it will work for your situation.
Registration deadline is August 20, and payment must be made by secure credit card (through this site) or by check. CSMA will handle all financial arrangement with SNO, and therefore must have payment either online or by check on the day of the workshop. There will be NO REFUNDS, so please plan carefully.
