Judge Comment: Solid theme package that addresses the major elements of development. It was interesting to see a cover with quotes on it. Strong use of specifics as well as good quotes used throughout the book. Make sure theyre all identified (page 3, upper right couldnt tell who said it). Strong photography overall. Try to stay away from using posed photos unless theyre really, really awesome. Fun play on words to combine the name of your school with the theme.

Judge Comment: Solid photography that stands out on so many pages. It might have been good to separate the cover captions from the endsheet ones as it was a bit of a challenge to find the cover ones. White copy on a darker background can work, but its done most effectively in a larger print size and in small quantities. The captions, at times, become a bit hard to read. Think about theme spin-offs. They can usually make things a bit more interesting.

Judge Comment: Try to make sure that division photos are absolutely terrific. At least two of them were back shots ... try to make them come alive. Be sure and make good quotes a part of theme copy. Make sure that the cover is relatable hopefully, students will understand the intent. Closing photo is blurry on my screen. Do your best to avoid using them.

Judge Comment: Eyecatching cover. The logo on the endsheets could have been smaller. Not sure about the jungle part, but that may be understandable to those who attend your school. Good job with theme -spinoffs. Large groups of text done in all caps can become hard to read not so bad up to a certain point, but try to avoid that in large quantities. Loved the divider photos loved the quarantine pages. Good job of getting those included. Nice closing photo.
