Competition Comment: There is no clear definition of what "in-depth" means in terms of words or pages or even depth of coverage. But we do need to acknowledge that this category has to go beyond a news story and much provide more insights into a sport or event, complete with compelling characters (the athletes and coaches and fans) and significant moments from the larger season.
The key is to choose depth over summaries, to choose tight focus over vague statements. The top entries did those things.
