Our summer critique program has just completed six years, with all critiques returned to advisers by mid-August. Judging was done by accomplished advisers from across the nation, literally border to border, and those judges made use of the judging rubrics you can find here.

The All-Colorado critique ratings were announced as part of the Awards Ceremony that closed J-Day on Oct. 20. The website category enjoyed the most growth in participation among the four media types judged, and we had our very first All-Colorado rating in that category in the five years of those critiques.

The critiques are standards-based, with no enrollment categories. The belief of CSMA is that students can meet the standards, no matter their age or the size of the school. Critiques are returned in August to allow advisers and students a chance to discuss the comments from the judges, and to choose which areas to focus upon in the coming school year.
